Dear CeCe,
How do you keep going when your knees hurt?
Whew— Doll, let me tell you…
Every pound you lose takes pressure off your joints, but the journey to get there can still be uncomfortable.
So when I started walking 30 minutes a day (sometimes more, I’m a Manhattan Girl, after all), my knees started talking back. Loudly.
Even after losing 100+ pounds my knees are still asking for relief. I spoke to my doctor about it and here’s the plan we came up with:
Do I stop moving to avoid the pain? No.
My doctor suggested I give myself the support I need to move through it… with a knee brace like this.
I felt relief immediately when I started wearing it daily.
Does a knee brace go with my outfit most of the time?
You already know the answer, doll. But… Here’s what I’m learning:
💡 The trade-offs are real.
A lighter body might come with looser skin.
Knee support might come with a bulky brace.
But confidence doesn’t mean never needing help.
It means giving yourself permission to get what you need.
I call it scaffolding.
I’m not broken—I’m building.
And the more I build, the more I move.
The Perfect Combo for Bad Knees
🎯 This summer I started wearing a knee brace with hinged support on the side, like this one.
✨ On most days I pair it with these Orthodic Walk Max sneakers with built in support
Together? They’re not runway-ready. But they keep me moving.
They make me feel steady. Supported. Strong. And these days, that matters more to me than a runway moment.
How often do I wear my knee brace?
I still skip the brace on date night or when I’m in full glam (you already know, sometimes vanity wins).
But most days? I wear it proudly—over leggings, under skirts, with my sneakers and I feel so much more grounded. Like my knees can exhale.
This isn’t just about joints, dolls. It’s about not waiting until you’re pain-free, weight-released, or perfectly styled to start moving.
It’s about meeting your body with grace.
And saying, “Let’s go, girl… I’ve got you.”
With love, motion, and the support,
CeCe 💕
👟 P.S. If you’re on your own weight loss or movement journey and you’d like to be part of a private community I’m building around this… I’d love your input:
